Actor and activist Sivaji who’s been in the limelight for having spoken about about the Vizag Steel Plant privatisation issue has now made some sensational claims. The actor having termed a journalist ‘old dog’ during a TV programme has gone viral on social media. Terming revolt as a powerful weapon, he said that the BJP and few others have termed Amaravati as a closed chapter, recollecting that in 1960 when Telangana Movement was losing its ground after 40-years it fructified. However, Sivaji argued that some vested interests are targeting people’s opinions with the thought of destroying Amaravati. He said that the PM himself had given word to build the People’s Capital and gave land and water, which made the people of Andhra Pradesh happy. Sadly, when the Amaravati farmers put their belief in the PM and the AP Government and donated 33,000 acres of land for the capital, they have been cheated. Even in the case of Vizag Steel Plant, farmers had given up 33,000 acres and the situation is similar in the case of Nagarjuna Sagar. Sivaji also stated that politics is being played based on a particular community.
In this context, the actor lashed out at a journalist for spewing venom and trying to create a divide in society, by writing misleading content. He even went on to term the journo as an old dog, adding that their sole aim is to destroy Amaravati.
