The Election Commission is tightening the rules in the wake of the Corona Second Wave boom. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that candidates or their agents will be allowed into the counting centres on May 2 if there is evidence of a corona negative report or two doses of the vaccine. The Election Commission has already imposed a ban on victory rallies. The RTPCR negative report must also be 48 hours prior to the time of entry into the counting centre. Counting of votes in four states, one union territory, Nagarjuna Sagar in Telangana and Tirupati in AP will be held on May 2.
