If police adopt a negligent attitude, the result would be the loss of a woman’s life. This is not a new allegation. The police have faced criticism of negligence even in the case of Disha, which shattered many in the country. Now, the Anantapur case too is the same. The video of the mother pleading with AP opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu has gone viral and has shed light into some new facts.

The victim who’s a bank employee was a national-level hockey player. Immediately after the death of the employee, the leader of the opposition N Chandrababu Naidu spoke to her mother on phone. She said that Rajesh was harassing her daughter since a year and that her husband being a driver was never at home, and despite having lodged several complaints to the police, her requests were turned down. She alleged that Rajesh used to harass her daughter even during midnight and the police never bothered to even hear her complaint. On the night of the incident, when she rang the police, they said her daughter was not a child and that she would come back. She lamented saying that even if police had responded a bit earlier, her daughter would have survived.
Chandrababu who heard the plight of the woman has assured to fight on behalf of the party to ensure justice. He also announced financial assistance of Rs 2,00,000 to the family. He even questioned why the AP CM hasn’t responded yet and alleged that the Disha Act is fake.
