AP High Court orders case against Mission AP Build official

The AP High Court has directed that a case be booked against AP special officer Praveen Kumar for having submitted the wrong affidavit on behalf of the government for Mission AP Build.

The Andhra Pradesh government has faced a major setback yet again from the High Court. The top court has ordered that a case be booked against the official for having submitted wrong affidavit for Mission AP Build on behalf of the state government. The judiciary took the matter of wrongly attributing comments to the High Court judge in the affidavit by Mission AP Build official very seriously. The court also dismissed the recusal petition filed and instructed the Registrar General to file a complaint against Praveen Kumar.

The AP government had set up Mission AP Build for the proposed auction of valuable assets and Praveen Kumar had been appointed the special officer to overlook the Mission AP Build on behalf of the government. Earlier, Thota Suresh had filed a PIL in court seeking a stay against state government’s plans to auction the vegetable market yard in Guntur under the Mission AP Build initiative. This issue now is being heard by the AP High Court.
