AP: Hindu temple funds diverted to Navarathnalu

TDP state spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy lashed out at the YSRCP government for diverting Hindu temple funds for its welfare schemes. The TDP leader even displayed proofs to substantiate his claims, adding that the funds have been moved to Brahmin Corporations, and from there it is transferred to PD accounts for Navarathnalu scheme.

The diversion of Hindu temple funds by the AP Government for Navarathnalu scheme has evoked strong criticism from all corners. The TDP spokesperson Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy alleged that the funds have been moved to Brahmin Corporations, and from there it is transferred to PD accounts for Navarathnalu scheme. Anam speaking to media in Nellore demanded that the fund from Hindu temples needed to be used for the restoration of temples and for the welfare of priests. The TDP leader showing proofs alleged that the funds from various Hindu temples were being moved into Brahmin Corporations without raising any suspicions and later transferred to PD accounts. He questioned how money belonging to Hindu temples could be spent on other religions.

Even Muslim funds targeted

Anam Venkata Ramana Reddy in the presser read out the GOs released by the AP Government, for the diversion of Wakf Board funds to PD accounts towards YSR Aasara scheme. Anam demanded that the funds which were diverted from temples and Muslim Minority Board must immediately be deposited into the respective accounts. The TDP leader warned that diverting money from temples would hurt the sentiments of the devotees and also jeopardize the incoming gifts. He added that the government must realize its mistake and immediately return the diverted amount.
