On November 29th, a mason tried to physically assault the Andhra Minister for Transport and Information and Public Relations Perni Venkataramaiah Nani. There has been a key development in the case. The AP Police who took the accused into custody for investigation, also issued notices to TDP leaders P Parabrahmam, Gym Shiva and Madireddy Sreenu for further interrogation. Now, police suspecting the involvement of TDP leader and former Cabinet Minister Kollu Ravindra are trying to investigate him. Already, five police personnel who reached the former minister’s residence tried to take Ravindra into custody as part of the investigation.
A mason identified as Badugu Nageswara Rao, who hails from Godugupet village of Machilipatnam mandal had attended the memorial service of Nageshwaramma, the mother of AP Transport Minister Perni Nani who had passed away recently. During the ritual, the accused who was intoxicated tried to attack the minister with a spade. However, the minister’s gunmen managed to nab the attacker and handed him over to the police. A case has been registered against Nageswara Rao, and he is being interrogated.
It has become a usual norm for the Jagan government to shift the blame on TDP leaders, even if YSRCP leaders were bit by ants. The police investigation being launched against TDP leader Kollu Ravindra even without a preliminary investigation can be termed as an act of vendetta politics by the ruling YSRCP government.
