The AP Endowments Department on Saturday rejected the donation of ₹1,01,116 made by the TDP Politburo Member, and former Union Minister Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju towards a new idol of Lord Ram to be placed in the holy shrine of Ramatheertham. It is known that the previous statue of Lord Ram was vandalised by miscreants. This development led Ashok Gajapati to express his anger over the state of affairs.
Attempt to dismiss the hereditary trustee
“First, they unilaterally dismiss me as hereditary trustee / Chairman without as much as a notice in complete contravention of section 28. Now, they reject my offerings to the Lord as a representative of the founder family for the vigrahas,” Ashok Gajapathi Raju tweeted.
