“People have to act responsibly and follow all the guidelines prescribed by the Government to eradicate COVID-19 from our society”, said leading actor and Chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital Nandamuri Balakrishna. He felt that both the Government and public should work together to end this pandemic and expressed confidence that a vaccine too will emerge soon.
He further added that plasma banks are becoming saviours for COVID-19 patients as lot of patients are being saved by plasma therapy. Balakrishna attended an event organized at the Cancer Hospital in which TGS Mahesh, Chairman of Maheswara Medical College and Hospital, Sangareddy donated 1000 PPE kits and N95 masks to the staff of BIACH & RI through him. Nandamuri scion thanked Mahesh by praising his deeds and hoped that he will continue to work towards the larger benefit of society in the future too. He stated that the kits will help a great deal in the wake of COVID-19 to treat cancer patients without hassles and praised the efforts of the staff.
Balakrishna explained that safety measures are being given highest priority to safeguard doctors, nurses and paramedical staff at the Hospital from catching infection. He reminded that every patient in the hospital is screened for temperature and will be sent to the testing centre in case doubt arises. During the interaction with journalists following the program, Balayya said that the permission to shoot has just come and they will hold a couple of discussions with who’s who from the industry to commence regular filming.
