Be careful! Do not be overconfident: Chandrababu Naidu

Chandrababu found fault with the government’s decision to inquire Kollu Ravindra in the attempt to murder case of Minister Perni Nani.

Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu lambasted the ruling party for targeting his party leaders. “What is happening in Andhra Pradesh? Even for a small scratch to ruling party leaders, the government alleges involvement of opposition party leaders. In a case of a mason attacking a minister, the police visit the residence of former minister Kollu Ravindra,” said Chandrababu Naidu reacting sharply against the government in a media conference.

Chandrababu Naidu blamed the government for trying to falsely implicate Kollu Ravindra in an incident wherein a person who did not like the policies of the government resorted to attacking the minister. Though the government ruled out a political angle in the attack, the former minister is being harassed. He alleged that Ravindra was asked to visit the police station without any summons. In an earlier incident relating to a conflict between two groups, Ravindra was jailed for 53 days.

The leader of the opposition also criticised the police saying that they shouldn’t work like government agents. He added that earlier 12 IAS and IPS officers went to jail by following the dictates of the government and even now they were suffering from those cases. The police should keep this in mind and should work as per the law. If they indulge in harassing people it would affect them in the future, warned Chandrababu.

Chandrababu said that the Telugu Desam Party is a system and that it was not possible for anyone to wipe it out. He said that if the party workers react, then even the government will not be in a position to stop them and warned of dire consequences if the government targeted TDP leaders. He asked the leaders not to get afraid of the cases. “Do not get afraid of the cases, fight them. Suicides are not solutions. We are with you in your fight,” said Chandrababu.

It is clear that Kollu Ravindra was targeted by the government. Kollu Ravindra, a political figure was imprisoned and harassed without being named as an accused in a case. With his release on bail, it is clear that the government is trying to implicate Ravindra in supporting the attack on a minister in the constituency.
The attack took place on the day of Nani’s mother’s tenth-day ritual. Photos from that time are currently going viral on social media. Throughout the day the accused was along with the minister’s followers. Considering this, it feels like the attack was pre-planned. There were questions as to why the person’s presence amongst the minister was not inquired.
