Mirzapur is a super hit web series which has turned the fortunes of Amazon Prime in India. However, the thriller amassed a whole lot of controversies for its realistic portrayal of crime and for showing politicians and authorities involving in shady activities. The plot revolves around a mafia kingpin named Akhandanand who lives in the Mirzapur area of Uttar Pradesh.
Recently the second season of Mirzapur was announced on Amazon Prime directed by Karan Anshuman. A section of people and organizations are protesting against the web series, complaining that it is affecting the youth and influencing them to embark on a life of crime. Recently, the MP of Mirzapur Anupriya Patel too demanded an immediate ban on the show and appealed authorities to take action against the makers as they have showcased Mirzapur in a bad light.
