Mega nephew Vaishnav Tej’s debut film Uppena is lying in the cans for an eternity. It is directed by debutant filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Devi Sri Prasad’s songs amassed millions of views on Youtube.
Following the tradition of Nani’s V, Anushka’s Nishabdham, and Raj Tarun’s Orey Bujjiga, Uppena’s rights were sold to OTT giant Netflix for exorbitant prices. But unlike the fore-mentioned flicks, the makers have restricted Netflix to stream the film only after fifty days of its theatrical run.
This is making the OTT giant scratch its head as Uppena is delayed for summer. Vaishnav Tej’s second film Kondapolam completed its shoot recently and Krish is handling the post-production work right now.
