The Congress having announced their candidate for the Nagarjuna Sagar by-election, looks optimistic to win. In the public meeting held in Halia today titled Janagarjana, the Congress leaders listed out all the progress made during the Congress regime. Nagarjuna Sagar candidate Kunduru Jana Reddy in his address to the crowd at the massive rally said that he knew every nook and corner of the constituency. Congress candidate and senior leader Jana Reddy came down heavily against CM KCR, ministers KTR and Harish, questioning what the leaders who claim that development has taken place had actually done, since the advent of the TRS. Jana even challenged the CM, saying that he would not even count if someone else answered. They sacrificed their positions for a separate state. They irrigated six and a half lakh acres through Sagar, Jana added.
Nothing has been done under the TRS regime
Earlier, TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy had said that KCR is misleading voters by saying that Congress had done nothing for Sagar and demanded the TRS to show what it had done in the past seven years. Uttam said the region was highly developed during the Congress regime.
