Corporate medical aid for the poor

Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das lauded the late AP CM YSR for his initiative in providing corporate medical facilities to the poor. The Deputy CM laid the foundation stone for a 50-bed hospital at Narasannapeta in Srikakulam District.

Deputy CM, State Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Krishna Das heaped praises to late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy while laying the foundation stone for a new 50-bed hospital to be built at Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district on Monday. The Deputy CM inaugurated the newly established ward for new-borns and state of the art equipment at the dental department. Addressing a gathering, he said that the Narasannapeta hospital would be upgraded from 50 beds to 100 beds. He also credited CM Jaganmohan Reddy for including medical treatment exceeding Rs 1,000 under the purview of Aarogyasri.

Kidney Research Centre soon

Krishna Das said the government had set up a Kidney Research Centre in Palasa within a month after coming into power and released funds for the construction of a special super speciality hospital in Palasa. He promised to set up a skill development centre at Narasannapeta soon with Rs 40 Crore. The event was attended by locals, medical officials and staff.
