Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Superstar Rajinikanth

The Centre has conferred the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth. Union Minister Javadekar took to Twitter to inform about the same. The move gains significance given the fact that Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are just around the corner.

Dadasaheb Phalke Award is the highest award given in Indian Cinema. So far 50 people have received the award. Now the 51st award is being presented to superstar Rajinikanth, much to the delight of all his fans. It is a privilege for the Centre to announce this award to Rajinikanth before the Tamil Nadu elections. This was stated by Union Minister Javadekar. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award has so far been received by 33 people from the Hindi film industry and 18 people from other languages.

It is learned that Rajinikanth fell seriously ill before announcing his political party. After recovering from his illness, Rajani stated that he’s quitting politics, shocking all those who were waiting for Thalaivar’s announcement. The announcement of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Rajinikanth, who is currently starring in a full-fledged film, has created a festive atmosphere in the Tamil film industry. Many film personalities are congratulating Rajinikanth on the achievement.

The jurors who chose Rajinikanth for the prestigious award include singers Asha Bhosle and Shankar Mahadevan, actors Mohanlal and Biswajeet, and filmmaker Subhash Ghai.
