Disagreement in Nagarjuna Sagar… Tension amongst BJP, TRS

In the Nagarjuna Sagar constituency, there is a tense situation amongst the TRS and the BJP as dissent erupts in the wake of several candidates expressing their willingness to contest for the seat.

TRS and BJP

The TRS and BJP have not yet announced their candidates in the Nagarjuna Sagar by-election. The selection of candidates for these parties has turned into a litmus test. Tension has also started among the parties that dissent will arise in the wake of many contesting for the constituency. Meanwhile, BJP district president Sridhar Reddy’s spouse, who is already in the party, Nivedita Reddy having filed her nomination, to contest from Sagar constituency in the 2018 elections, caused a stir in the party. In this context, it is learned that BJP state president Bandi Sanjay met senior leaders to discuss the issue. However, the names of Dr Ravi Nayak, Indrasena Reddy and Kadari Anjayya Yadav are heard here along with the report. Kadari Anjayya Yadav who contested from TDP in 2014 had got nearly 30,000 votes. In 2018, Reddy, who contested from the BJP, got 2675 votes. In terms of social class, it has become interesting to know who will be given the ticket in the backdrop of high BC and ST votes. On the other hand, there is a demand by the cadre for a strong candidate to face Congress’ Jana Reddy.

TRS not to give a chance for rebels

Tension has started here for the BJP in the wake of the TRS implementing tactics such as the TRS also selecting a candidate based on the candidates selected by other parties and selecting the candidate at the last minute and not giving a chance to other parties, dissidents and rebels. While the TRS is planning to announce its candidate after the BJP announces its candidate, the BJP is of the view that after announcing the TRS candidate, the TRS can turn the dissent and rebellion against them and fix everything. This has intensified the efforts of the optimists of both parties here. The Congress party has already announced Jana Reddy’s name. On the whole, the BJP has already instructed its leaders to work together with whoever gets the ticket.

Looking from TRS’ point of view

The TRS seems to have a tendency to wait until other parties finalize the selection of candidates. Here names of Bhagat, son of late sitting MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah, Kotireddy, Manne Ranjit Yadav, Srinivas Yadav, Tera Chinnapareddy, Guruvayya Yadav, son-in-law of Rammurthy Yadav who won against Jana Reddy in the past can be heard. However, it seems that the party leaders will not be able to predict which candidate KCR will select. Anyway, orders were received to win here and retain the sitting position. Although the party has not announced its candidate, the responsibilities of the seven constituencies in the constituency have been handed over to seven ministers. Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar, Vemula Prashant Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Errabelli Dayakara Rao were given the responsibilities of the constituencies. They are mentally preparing the cadre at the field level that the party decision is final without disagreement after the party announces the candidate.

Telangana Martyrs’ Forum shocker

The Telangana Martyrs’ Forum gave a shock while TRS and BJP were exercising in the selection of Owaipu party candidates. The forum announced that the government had not fulfilled the promises given to the Telangana martyrs and that nearly 400 nominations would be filed in protest. With this, the parties were incensed. When it comes to YSRCP … It seems that there is an idea to stop the candidate from the main social group in Telangana. The TDP has already announced the name of Arun Kumar.
