Nobody is keen on lending an ear to the famous Shakespeare quote ‘What’s in a name?’ especially when it comes to tinsel town where sentiments rule every aspect, from combinations to release dates. One such sentiment that is garnering everybody’s attention is the title sentiment for Balayya-Boyapati’s flick. The previous two films from this duo became huge successes and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make this project hit the bull’s eye. ‘Legend’ tasted exemplary success and both the director and hero think that major chunk of this success is due to its title and they want to continue this English title sentiment for the upcoming film too.
Balayya is never keen on English sentiment from the start of his career and there are as few as eight films that carry English titles. Among his eight films with English titles namely Disco King, Top Hero, Lorry Driver, Rowdy Inspector, Legend, Lion, Dictator and Ruler, only Lorry Driver, Rowdy Inspector and Legend became successes. So industry sources say that this English title is a collective decision of the actor and director duo rather than the star himself.
Meanwhile there are a couple of working titles moving around in the filmnagar circles namely ‘Monarch’ and ‘Danger’ but nothing seems to be concrete. If this title story is to be set aside, both the industry and fans are pretty excited to watch Balayya blaze the screens with one cracker of a story and the most talked about ‘Aghori’ character.
