Natural Star Nani’s Tuck Jagadish is nearing its completion. He flagged off his upcoming period thriller Shyam Singha Roy recently under the direction of Taxiwala fame Rahul Sankrityan. SSR will be shot in the backdrop of yesteryear’s Kolkata and it needs humongous sets to be erected.
Producer Venkat Boyanapalli is currently in the process of erecting the Kali temple set near Shamshabad which is costing a whopping Rs.6crores. He leased 15 acres of land for this set. Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian, and Krithi Shetty are playing the female leads in SSR.
Though Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments planned to produce SSR initially, he backed off due to the heavy budgets involved. Nani got Venkat onto the board as the latter obliged to the young actor’s ambitious plan of not decreasing budgets for quality purposes. Shyam Singha Roy will release in the coming summer.
