Tollywood doesn’t have films based on bikers and the upcoming Ide Maa Katha may be the first to release in this genre. Sumanth Ashwin, Srikanth, Bhumika Chawla, and Tanya Hope are playing the leading roles in it. The first look poster and title of the film were released on Thursday by the team in Hyderabad.
Ide Maa Katha is written and directed by Guru Pawan and bankrolled by G Mahesh under G.P Productions banner. The release is handled by real bikers as the film revolves around the biking community.
Speaking on the occasion, senior hero Srikanth said ‘I love riding and traveled to Ladakh from Hyderabad on a bike previously. Even though I was initially skeptical about the story, the director handled it in a brilliant way. Cinematographer Ram Prasad is the major asset for this film’.
Sumanth Aswin said ‘It’s a true delight to work with seniors like Srikanth and Bhumika. I learned a lot from them regarding commitment, discipline, and behavior. I am extremely happy to play a meaty role in the film’.
‘This is a story of four riders. We started filming before the lockdown and finished schedules in Hyderabad and Ladakh. A new schedule in Manali will start in December’, told the director. The producer of the film Mahesh added ‘This is a story that happens in everybody’s life and people will relate to it’. Anee master said that she choreographed two songs in the film. While Sunil Kashyap is composing the music for Ide Maa Katha, Junaid is handling the editing department.
