Everything is set for the election of the GHMC Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts. TRS Party Senior Leader and General Secretary K Keshava Rao’s daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi who is the Banjara Hills Corporator, Tarnaka Corporator Mote Sri Latha Sobhan Reddy have been confirmed for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively.
Whip issued
In the wake of the GHMC Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections, the TRS and BJP have issued whips. Already TRS corporators and observers Talasani, KK and several other ministers have reached the TRS Bhavan. With the whip’s issued, Corporators of respective parties are expected to follow the guidelines. It may be noted that though the vote is valid despite Corporator’s defying the whip, the candidate would be disqualified later.
