Yes, Kodali Nani has crossed the line this time. It’s not our inference but his own party members are also opining the same. After his reckless comments on the recent acts of vandalism happening on Hindu temples and idols, Nani has embroiled himself in yet another controversy after his personal comments on PM Modi’s wife. He said “Can those who are demanding Jagan to attend Brahmotsavam along with his wife ask Modi to go to Ram Mandir along with his wife?”.
Nani is known for his no holds barred comments on TDP leaders and the ruling party is said to be constantly fueling his attitude. His comments on temples are bringing new troubles to the Jagan government. His comments on the burning of Chariot in Antarvedi, theft of silver lions in Kanaka Durga temple and vandalising the hands of Lord Hanuman unleashed the wrath of Hindu community on the ruling party. Opposition parties are requesting Police and Judiciary to register cases on him.
Even though his comments elicited strong condemnation from Hindu religious organizations and opposition parties, Nani is not realizing his faults. He even commented to abolish the ‘Declaration’ procedure for non-Hindus in Tirumala. He said that BJP which has got lesser votes than ‘NOTA’ should concentrate on increasing their vote base rather than teaching Jagan how to rule. “Will Amit Shah be replaced if ten protestors go and ask to remove him?”, questioned Nani regarding the opposition’s plea to remove Jagan.
There is a wide talk in public about CM Jagan’s religious faith and people want him to visit Tirumala along with his wife. Ridiculing this sentiment of majority, Nani replied “When PM Modi and UP CM Yogi visit temples alone, why should Jagan come along with his wife? If so, ask Modi also to go along with his wife to Ram Mandir”.
Let’s see where these comments land Nani and YSRCP.
