Bapatla YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh took to Twitter saying that a TDP supporter targeted him right outside his house in Uddandarayunipalem village in Amaravati. The incident took place when the MP was leaving his residence and getting into his car to go out on personal work.
What exactly happened?
On Thursday, when the Bapatla MP left his residence and was about to get into the car, a person approached him on a motor bike and parked his bike across and began to verbally abuse the MP. However, before the attacker got close to the YSRCP MP, the gunmen caught him and handed him over to the police.
The attacker was identified as Bathula Poornachandra Rao from Mandadam village in Amaravati. Now, Nandigam Suresh’s followers are alleging that the attack was a deliberate attempt to target the MP who has been backing the three-capital plan of AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Earlier, farmers, labourers and women in Amaravati expressed their displeasure and anger over Nandigam Suresh for having turned a deaf ear towards their protests against the shifting of the capital.
