Star hero is a term that can fit only a few in our film industry. Nobody can become a star hero just by fixing a tag in front of his name as it requires enormous crowd pulling stamina and craze. As there is no fixed definition for this term, general explanation says that a star hero’s movie can generate revenues irrespective of its talk.
Even though a star hero’s movie receives bad talk, his fane base can make it roll due to their numbers. Chiranjeevi used to enjoy this status in late 80s and early 90s and that’s why he became undisputed megastar of Tollywood. After Chiranjeevi, even though many stars shared his status, they failed to reach the zenith due to their frequent ups and downs.
Upcoming stars are now concentrating on certain regions in which they possess a strong hold and planning the budget of their movies based on that area’s collection. Sources say that Vishwak Sen is advising producers to plan the budgets according to his collections strength in Hyderabad and Telangana so that they can be in the safe zone. So industry insiders are have begun calling him Hyderabad’s Megastar.
