Nobody expected that a character artist will turn out to donate huge amounts of money to help people during the lockdown. Sonu became a ‘Real’ hero by going out of the way in helping thousands of stranded labourers and students to reach their hometowns and villages. He even provided food and expenses to them in the journey and facilitated transport. Sonu Sood gave a tractor to a poor farmer in Andhra Pradesh awhile ago and agreed to donate Rs.25 lakhs for the treatment of a child who is suffering from liver problems in Telangana a couple of days ago.
But industry circles and audiences are wondering how Sonu is able to bear such exorbitant expenditure. In a recent interaction with media, he cleared this doubt by saying, “I have a sound financial status and my family is well off. I have earned handsomely in my modelling and film career and have several businesses. Even though I started these service endeavours alone, many people associated with me in the journey. This has become a collective effort now and I thank everyone who supported me in these service activities. I am not interested to enter into politics though I am getting multiple requests from various parties.”
