IAS transfers in Telangana?

The Government of Telangana, in a minor administrative reshuffle, issued transfer orders to various district collectors. The transfer of the IAS officials come in the wake of Dubbaka election results, however, some of them were given the same responsibilities.

The government has transferred the collectors of several districts in Telangana. Somesh Kumar, the Chief Secretary of Telangana has issued orders in this regard. It is known that P Venkata Rami Reddy the District Collector of Siddipet, was transferred to Sangareddy district last month in the wake of the Dubbaka elections and later post-elections was re-appointed to Siddipet district. He was also given additional responsibilities as the District Collector of Medak.

Prior to the election, Sangareddy Collector M Hanumantha Rao, a 2013 batch IAS Officer was transferred to Medak as the District Collector. He has now been transferred from Medak to Sangareddy district. In a similar fashion, Bharati Hollikeri the Collector of Mancherial who was transferred to Siddipet prior to the elections has been reassigned back to Mancherial. While, Sikta Patnaik, the previous Collector of Mancherial has been relieved of her duties, along with Peddapalli Collector K Shashanka. In this position, Hollikeri was given additional responsibilities.

Vasam Venkateswarlu, the District Collector of Medchal-Malkajgiri also was transferred and the government has issued orders handing over the additional responsibilities of the district to Shweta Mohanty, who is currently the District Collector of Hyderabad.
