Jagan Reddy is incapable as CM: Shailajanath

State PCC Chief Sake Shailajanath has expressed his anger on the Ramatheertham incident. He said it was ridiculous for Jagan Reddy to talk like an incapable chief minister instead of taking action against the culprits.

Shailajanath, who visited Vizianagaram to examine the demolition of Kodanda Rama idol in Ramatheertham, addressed a press conference at the district headquarters. Stating that the incident was painful, he condemned the attacks. He said that during undivided Andhra Pradesh there were very rare incidents like these. The governments then reacted immediately as they appealed for patience but the present governments including at the Centre and the State are playing with the sentiments of the people. The chief minister who says there is effective police machinery in the state is unable to get the culprits caught. He questioned why the government was not arresting the culprits responsible for the Ramatheertham incident.
Reacting to the comments of CM that the temples were under the control of Rajus’, Shailajanath questioned whether the chief minister forgot this fact when the MANSAS chairman was changed. Instead of misleading people, the government should arrest the culprits behind Ramateertham. He alleged that the YSRCP and BJP were playing dramas and added that both these parties were birds of the same nest. District Congress party leaders participated in the program and there was heavy police deployed at the party office.
The police arrested Shailajanath who was trying to go towards Ramateertham. He asked the government not to use religions for politics. The revenue department is imposing Section 30 in Vizianagaram as the political party leaders should mandatorily take police permission for any program. The officials have made it clear that not only in Ramatheertham, but the orders would also be applicable in the entire Vizianagaram division. The police are stating that criminal cases would be booked against those who organise meetings, rallies without permission.
