YSRCP leaders and ministers getting admitted into Apollo Hospitals at Hyderabad for COVID treatment comes at a time when Jagan’s government is trying hard to convince people about the State having the best facilities to treat COVID positive cases. The State has been witnessing a daily surge of 10,000 COVID cases. So far, the total registered cases of AP are 4.13 lakh cases.
Several Ministers, MPs, MLAs and leaders have contracted COVID. Latest in the list of the prominent people includes senior leader and Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman Md Sharif. Both of them have rushed to take admission for treatment at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. The hospital sources say that the status of Peddireddy is stable, but they are constantly monitoring the health of Sharif.
Leaders rushing to Apollo Hospitals in the neighbouring Telangana has now turned a hot topic of discussion for people across the State. The State government has been campaigning hard about taking necessary steps to contain the spread of the deadly disease and putting in place the best possible facilities for treating corona positive cases. If this is true, why are the ruling YSRCP leaders and other prominent people rushing to Hyderabad?
Earlier, senior YSRCP leader Vijayasai Reddy had also taken admission at Apollo Hospitals for COVID treatment. Kurnool MP Sanjeev Kumar, Minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy, Allagada MLA Bijendar Reddy and several other prominent leaders followed suit. Even bureaucrats from AP reportedly prefer to go to Apollo.
Amidst all this, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister, Alla Nani appealed to everyone to undergo treatment in Andhra Pradesh as the State government had made all necessary arrangements.
Actions of leaders speak louder than their statements. During these hard times, ruling party leaders and ministers should instill confidence in people, but it seems not to be the case.
