The hype surrounding SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ especially in Tamil Nadu has been phenomenal, so much so that without even the trailer being released, the Tamil version of the flick has been acquired for a whopping sum. The film starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR in the lead roles, Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Hollywood actress Olivia Morris has led to huge expectations among fans and film buffs. On the other hand, Rajamouli’s track record also plays a huge role in the film’s expectations in the market. With the overwhelming success of Baahubali 1 & 2 in India and abroad, all hopes are high for Rajamouli’s next.
According to speculations in Chennai circles, the film was bought by Lyca Productions for ₹42 crores. Earlier, Baahubali was bought for ₹47 crores. It has also been learnt that half of the sum has already been paid in advance. Tamil actor Samuthirakani is playing a crucial role in the film.
