To fill in a new energy in the party, TDP national president Chandrababu Naidu appointed presidents as per the Parliamentary constituencies. This has led to an internal rift between party seniors. For Vijayawada Lok Sabha segment in Krishna district, Nettem Raghuram has been appointed from the Kamma community and BC leader Konakalla Narayanaswamy was appointed for Machilipatnam Lok Sabha. Though, there are no issues in the Vijayawada Lok Sabha, there is no coordination between the TDP leaders in Machilipatnam.
Now, Konakalla Narayanswamy who is in charge of the Machilipatnam Constituency is at loggerheads with Kagitha Venkat Rao of Pedana. The leaders of six constituencies in Machilipatnam Lok Sabha met Konakalla Narayanaswamy and congratulated him. However, Kagitha Venkat Rao’s absence has led to a discussion among party circles.
All have their own agendas
Kagitha Venkat Rao made his brother Kagitha Venkata Krishna Prasad contest from Pedana constituency during the 2019 elections, but he lost. He is also trying to introduce his son into politics. At the same time, Konakalla Narayanaswamy tried to bring in his son into the election battle, but couldn’t. This has led to differences between both the leaders.
Work together
The news of conflict between both the TDP leaders from Machilipatnam reached TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, and the latter successfully resolved them. However, the situation continues to be the same with both leaders not making eye-to-eye contact. It has to be seen whether they will work with unity or not in the future.
