The BJP used to contest elections with Hindutva agenda in all the places in the state. However, the situation has changed after the Dubbaka bypoll result. The party went with a perfect strategy in the GHMC elections. The lotus team attacked the ruling TRS, MIM with a provocative strategy. Keeping the Hindutva agenda in front, it targeted both the parties. Both the parties fell into this trap. With counters and encounters, challenges and counter challenges, the BJP gained popularity. The GHMC results have cleared the picture.
The party believes that they are one step away from the power in the state. The party is trying to show its strength in the coming elections. The party wants to hoist the Saffron flag at Nagarjuna Sagar, Warangal and Khammam Municipal Corporations.
Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay visited Warangal two days ago. He came before the voters and also to prepare cadre to get ready for the polls. He continued his aggressive attitude here also. He made serious allegations against CM KCR. He said that KCR was running the government by drinking alcohol. He said KCR was a big thief CM.
Sanjay’s comments cannot be taken lightly because he is not a gully leader… he is BJP state president and he talks with clarity. Since there is an election, definitely there will be a strategy. Just like the Greater elections, the effort is to bring the opponents in the war of words and make the BJP a talking point among the people. If the TRS leaders do not respond, they are bringing up the version that silence proves their allegations true.
Sanjay talked on the development in Warangal and challenged the Warangal ministers, MLAs to come for taking oath in front of Bhadrakali temple. He questions why the Chief Minister KCR did not provide Rs 10,000 to the flood relief on the lines of GHMC. He also alleged that the Centre gave Rs 196 Crore for development in Warangal but the Centre diverted these funds by giving only Rs 40 Crore. He tried to bring hype stating that surveys say that BP would win the election.
During the 2016 Warangal Corporation, the BJP won only one division out of 58 divisions and TRS won 44 seats. It is not easy to defeat TRS but the BJP leaders are showing the GHMC results where it wants 48 divisions and saying that they would do better in Warangal also.
The party leaders know that there is no strength for the party in Warangal hence the party is focusing on the inclusion of leaders from other parties. Recently a TRS corporator who is close to MLA Vinay Bhaskar joined BJP. The party is encouraging leaders who did not get posts in TRS, to join BJP and prove its strength.
