Actor and producer Nuthan Naidu was recently arrested in the tonsuring incident of a Dalit youth Srikanth. Police officials discovered that he impersonated as Retd. IAS officer PV Ramesh and made calls to KGH in bid to shift his wife, accused in tonsuring case, to hospital. Now, another case has been registered against him at Maharanipeta Police Station, Vizag.
According to the police, Nuthan Naidu cheated complainants to the tune of Rs. 12 crores by telling them that he will procure jobs for them in ‘State Bank of India’. Srikanth Reddy, a realtor from Telangana and Nukaraju from Vizag who is into CC cameras business are close friends. They met Nuthan Naidu through common friends one day. Nuthan told them about his contacts with the high and mighty and went on to bluff that he can get them positions in SBI. Srikanth Reddy reportedly gave him Rs.12 crores for being appointed as SBI South Region Director while Nukaraju paid Rs.5 lakhs for a clerical job. As Nuthan failed to keep up his word, they started to demand their money back from Nuthan who began avoiding them. They waited for two years and finally approached the police after tonsuring case came into light. Cops have registered a case and started their investigation in the direction of “whether Srikanth Reddy really gave Rs.12 crores to Nuthan Naidu or not”. They have also found another person named Sasikanth in this fraud and are searching for him.
