Ongole: Woman volunteer charred to death

A tragic incident of a woman volunteer in Ongole being set on fire alive has turned sensational in Andhra Pradesh. Ummaneni Bhuvaneswari, who was physically challenged had been working as a volunteer in Ongole Municipality ward no 7.

A terrible incident of a woman volunteer being set on fire alive in Ongole has led to massive outrage. The woman identified as Ummaneni Bhuvaneswari was physically challenged and had been working in ward no 7. She was found lying in a charred state on her tricycle at the Dasarajupalli Road. The police were able to identify the woman based on the documents retrieved from her handbag, as the body was totally burnt beyond recognition.

On the other hand, Bhuvaneswari’s parents have expressed suspicions over the death of their daughter. Police have examined the text messages sent from the deceased’s mobile phone suspect it as a case of suicide. However, a case has been registered and an investigation is on. Localites opine that the woman might’ve taken the extreme step unable to bear the torture of some political leaders. Is it a murder or a suicide?
