PM Modi launches vaccination drive in India

PM Narendra Modi on Saturday launched India’s vaccination to fight the deadly Covid19 pandemic.

The mass vaccination drive to curb the deadly Covid19 pandemic has begun pan India on the 16th of January with PM Modi officially launching it along with a motto – ‘Dawai Bhi, Kadai Bhi’ which translates to ‘vaccine as well as a discipline’. It may be noted that this is the world’s largest vaccination programme, with two vaccines – Bharat Biotech and Covaxin being injected to the public. Initially, three crore frontline warriors will be administered the shots.

“The DCGI (Drug Controller General of India) gave approval after they were satisfied with the data of the two vaccines. So, stay away from rumours. Our vaccine developers have global credibility. Life-saving vaccines given to 60% of children globally are made in India. India’s vaccines are developed in a way keeping in mind the conditions of the country. They will give decisive victory to our country,” the PM said, adding that people must vaccinate themselves with the booster dose exactly after a month of the primary dose.
