Public toilets or Publicity toilets. KCR and KTR using them?

The GHMC election campaign has gained momentum with the ruling and opposition parties entangling themselves in a war of words. Interestingly, the battle this time has gone to the next level with social media platforms being used to hurl abuses against each other. Also, with the GHMC elections around the corner, none of the party leaders are relenting and instead are looking forward to an opportunity to lambast their rivals. In a fresh spate of Twitter war, Congress leader and former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy targeted CM KCR and Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, MA&UD, Industries and IT&C of Telangana.

With the Model Code of Conduct being enforced in the wake of the GHMC elections which are to be held on December 1st, all flexies, advertisements belonging to respective political parties are being removed. Election authorities have also appointed special officers to overlook these matters. However, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy uploaded pics of flexies and hoardings displaying government schemes and campaign posters on Twitter. The images posted include those of 5/- per meal Annapurna Scheme, Kalyana Lakshmi – Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, TS-bPASS: The Telangana State Building Permissions and Self Certification System. The images of these campaign posters at various public toilets were uploaded by the Congress leader on the microblogging and social networking site.

“Public toilets in Hyderabad have become Publicity toilets. KCR KTR using them. Will Public also use them?” Konda Vishweshwar Reddy had tweeted, adding that the TRS government was using public toilets as part of the GHMC poll campaign.
