Should not the current CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy change his stance on Amravati, conceived by TDP chief and former AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, with the idea that the state capital should be in the middle part of the state territory, almost at a distance from all the districts? An interesting analysis is underway in this direction. Months later, the capital’s farmers, who had given up their land for the construction of Amravati to protect Amravati for more than a year, have been on the move, but the movement, which has been going unchallenged for a while now, is turning out to be the cause of an individual who has jumped into the movement.
Rakesh Tikait, leader of the farmers’ union, is showing the dots to the Narendra Modi government at the Centre when it comes to who that person is. Tikait had made it clear that he would not stop the movement until the new farming laws are repealed, is now about to jump into the Amravati movement. To this end, Tikait assured the leaders of the Amravati Environmental Protection Committee who called him on the occasion of his arrival in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Arguments are being heard that the YS Jagan government, like Modi, may have to come down if Tikait jumps into the Amravati movement any further.

Leaders of Amravati Conservation Society support the farmers’ movement
However, when it comes to how Rakesh Tikait is joining the Amravati movement, it is well known that Tikait is leading the peasant movement that has been besieging the national capital, Delhi, to demand the repeal of new cultivation laws. The movement, which is being carried out by farmers, has been supported by farmers’ associations as well as various civic bodies from all over the country. In this context, the leaders of the Amravati Environmental Protection Committee also expressed their support for the farmers’ movement. As part of this, banners were especially displayed in the name of the Amravati Conservation Movement. It was on this occasion that they also met with Tikait. In addition to expressing support for the farmers’ movement, they explained to Tikait the problem they were facing and how the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government was suppressing them. Having heard the issues personally, Tikait himself assured the farmers that he would support the Amravati Conservation Movement, which had given land to Amravati for the capital, and that he himself would come to Vijayawada and take part in the Mari movement.
Tikait’s entry confirmed
Tikait, who recently came to AP as part of plans to expand the latest farmer movement across the country, attended a meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Farmers’ Associations held in Vijayawada on Monday during the ongoing Visakhapatnam Steel Protection Movement in Visakhapatnam. On this occasion, the issue of the Amravati Conservation Movement, which has been going on in AP for more than a year, also came to the fore. In addition, the leaders of the Amravati Environmental Protection Agency called on Tikait to come to Vijayawada. During the meeting with Tikait, the farmers of the capital once again explained to Tikait the need to participate in their movement. On this occasion, Tikait recalled that the farmers of the capital had met him in Delhi and said that they would stand by the farmers of the capital who supported the Tikait farmer movement. Tikait also said that he would soon be involved in the Amravati movement and would reveal the full details soon. This means that Tikait’s entry into the Amravati movement seems to be on the wane. However, like the Modi government, the Jagan government should not be left to fend for itself. That is to say, Jagan’s attitude towards the destruction of Amravati is wrong.
