Everyone used to wait for his call during the Telangana statehood movement. His words to the employees were like an order. They used to impose bandh in the office and participate in the agitation whenever he sounded a clarion call. Even the heads of the government during the undivided state used to be terrified whenever his name was taken. Even KCR gave him an appropriate position in the government after the formation of Telangana State. He did not care even for his life during the agitation, he is Swamy Goud. But he is not to be seen now and unable to come out of his house. He has been away from politics after his term as Chairman of Telangana Legislative Council had ended. He was upset as he could not get the MLC post renewed. It is not known whether he will get a post or not in future.
Several reasons for side-lining him
It is learnt that KCR, who used to sit along with him and take up agitation during the movement, is now reluctant to give him an appointment. With this, he is said to have been depressed. However, the TRS party leaders say there are many reasons for KCR ignoring him. If one gets a post, he should be cautious and should make good use in order to achieve higher posts in future, but when someone misuses the post, the result will be like this. It is learnt that Swamy Goud indulged himself in many luxuries, private meetings, and made several settlements in an apartment which was purchased in Hyderabad outskirts. The TRS leaders are criticizing that though he was given such a top post for his active role in the movement but behaved in such a manner.
Many registrations made from his office
It seems many registrations were done from his office. It is learnt that Chief Minister KCR, knew about what Swamy Goud did during his tenure and hence decided to sideline him. Also when Swamy Goud tried to meet KCR many times, the latter did not give him an appointment. According to TRS insiders, KCR didn’t even like anyone utter his name. Party leaders say that the sins committed by Swamy Goud were chasing him and now he is only a TRS leader and is likely to remain as former council chairman.
