Ram Pothineni’s RED has been in the cans for quite some time given the lockdown. It is directed by Kishore Tirumala who directed Nenu Sailaja with Ram earlier. RED is the Telugu remake of Kollywood hit Thadam. It is produced by Ram’s home banner Sri Sravanthi Movies.
The filming completed long back and RED should have been released by now, if not for the closure of theatres due to the Covid19 lockdown. Ram’s uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is keen to release it in theatres as he is very confident about the output. Kishore revealed that though OTT platforms had approached him with tempting offers, he had lent a deaf ear.
RED is slated for Sankranti 2021 release and the makers have recently sold its satellite and digital rights for a whopping price of Rs.14 crores.
Let’s hope that RED continues the hit streak for Ram.
