Mathiah Jerusalem, who is the A4 accused in the vote for note case against TPCC Working President, Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy, has made sensational remarks against the Congress leader. The accused had approached the HRC alleging that there was a threat to his life from Revanth Reddy and he was conspiring to kill him as he turned approver in the case. He has sought protection until the trial finishes.
An ACB case has been registered against Revanth Reddy, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Udaya Simha and Mathiah Jerusalem for having allegedly tempted the nominated MLA Stephenson in the 2015 MLC elections post-Telangana formation. It is known that footages of Revanth Reddy handing Rs 50 lakh cash to nominated MLA Stephenson had gone viral. Revanth Reddy was also arrested and sent to jail in the same case. The case is still under investigation.
Let us not talk about the allegations against Jerusalem Mathiah at the moment. Every time there is a discussion regarding the PCC post to Revanth Reddy, allegations have been levelled against him and a controversial issue is raised. The Income Tax Department raided Revanth ahead of the 2018 elections. A case was later registered against his relatives in the Gopanpally area on charges of land grabbing. Later, after the Huzurnagar by-election, the Gopanpally land issue came to the fore once again. He had to address a press meet and give an explanation. Meanwhile, an official of the Revenue Department was caught taking bribes of over Rs 1 crore in cash. However, some media channels claimed that Revanth was involved in the issue. In his response, Revanth lashed out at the owners of these media outlets, challenging them to prove the allegations.
MP Revanth Reddy’s vote for note case adjourned to April 20th
Recently, the party intensified its campaign for the TPCC president. With Revanth in the race for the post, there are differences within his own party. There is a propaganda that some within the Congress have opined against Revanth being made the TPCC Chief. Since last week, there have been rumours circulating in social media platforms that some Congress leaders had run a fake news campaign against Revanth Reddy. It is also rumoured that the talks were held at a hotel in the heart of the city.
It is learnt that Revanth Reddy has already sent a report to the High Command on how he will function if he is given the post. Information was also given to Manickam Tagore, the AICC Incharge for Telangana Congress. It seems that Revanth Reddy himself has already sent the details about cases against him, the background of the cases, etc to the party high command. Is it a coincidence that something controversial comes to the fore every time Revanth Reddy campaigns?
