Rhea Chakraborty’s WhatsApp chats reveal alleged drug dealings

Late Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty is in deep trouble. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has slapped a fresh case against her and two more persons

It is being said that an alleged drug deal between Rhea Chakraborty and a dealer had surfaced during an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate. However, Rhea’s lawyer has strongly condemned the allegations saying his client has no history of drug usage and she is ready to face any test to prove that.

On Wednesday, the twists and turns into the Sushant Sing Rajput’s death case turned murkier after a WhatsApp chat of Rhea with a drug dealer surfaced. Earlier, the CBI had stepped up its investigation in the SSR death case and grilled Rhea and few others.

During its investigation regarding the money laundering charges against Rhea, the Enforcement Directorate had reportedly laid its hands on chats between Rhea and an alleged drug dealer Gaurav Arya. The chat leak revealed that Rhea Chakraborty was asking the dealer for Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), commonly known as ecstasy or molly. Rhea’s chats with her friend Jaya Saha and Samuel Miranda have also come under the ED’s scanner.

Sensing incriminating chats related to banned drugs, the ED has sought the assistance of the NCB. The CBI is reportedly retrieving the deleted phone data of Rhea and ED has confiscated her laptop. A money laundering case had earlier been filed by the ED following a complaint lodged by SSR’s father KK Singh.

At a time when the CBI and ED investigations are going on in full steam, the NCB’s appearance has only made things tough for Rhea. Earlier, former Union Minister Subrahmanyam Swamy took to twitter alleging that a drug dealer met SSR on the same day he committed suicide.
