Saif Ali Khan is going to portray the character of Ravana in ‘Adipurush’ opposite the mighty action star Prabhas. “7000 years ago existed the world’s most intelligent demon!” tweeted the film’s director Om Raut about Saif’s character ‘Lankesh’.
It is a known fact that villainous characters play an essential role in elevating the Hero’s might. Even Ramayana and Mahabharata sport strong negative characters that made them true epics. The team of ‘Adipurush’ is said to have done a lot of homework on the villain’s character as Prabhas is playing the titular role.
Being a Pan-Indian film, film buffs were confident that the antagonist’s role will be donned by a Bollywood star. Even the name of Hrithik Roshan was speculated for some time to compete against Prabhas, but this crazy combination hasn’t worked out for some unknown reasons. Mohanlal’s name also came up and his photographs in Ravana’s getup went viral on social media, but the team of ‘Adipurush’ put an end to all these speculations by announcing Saif Ali Khan’s name today.
