A scuffle between leaders belonging to the TRS and the Congress in Musheerabad, led to heightened tensions in the area. The issue took place when TRS MLA Mutha Gopal was passing through the road where Congress party leaders and workers were protesting demanding justice to the family of a deceased High Court employee. On seeing the TRS MLA, the Congress leaders blocked and gheraoed the former which led to an altercation between the groups.
It may be mentioned here that the person identified as Rajkumar, working as an employee in the High Court was electrocuted due to short circuit. Heavy rains in the city led to the cellar of his building being flooded which led to the mishap. The Congress leaders demanded justice and immediate support to the family of Rajkumar at his residence in Musheerabad.
While the Congress leaders were protesting with placards, they saw the MLA who was on his way to another function. They stopped the MLA and demanded him to support the family of the victim. Many TRS party activists reaching the spot too led to the chaos. However, police personnel had to intervene and disperse the groups.
