Roshni Nadar Malhotra has proven that women are not inferior to men when it comes to earnings. The 38-yr old who is the Chairperson of HCL is in the first place in the list of 100 leading wealthy women in India.
A wealth of 54,850 crores
As per Kotak Wealth Hurun study, Roshni’s net worth is Rs 54,580 crores. Taking the responsibility of HCL at a tender age of 27, as the daughter of Shiv Nadar, the founder of HCL, and earned a name for herself. She increased the value of the company and brought many changes to show her mettle. Roshni has a Masters in Business Management from Kellogg in America and is the Chairperson of HCL. She has found her place in the most influential women in the Forbes list in the year 2017, 2018, 2019. She went on to become the richest woman in the country in 2020. While Roshni is in the first place, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is in the second place (Rs 36,600 Crore) followed by Leena Gandhi (Rs 21,340 Core) in the third place.
13 women in the list are from the Telugu States
As many as 13 from the Telugu States have found their names in the Kotak Wealth-Hurun India list of richest women. Neelima Motaparthi (Rs 18,620 Crore), Mahima Datla (Rs 4,100 Crore), Shobhana Kamineni (Rs 1,470 Crore), Sangeeta Reddy (Rs 1,400 Crore), Vanajadevi (Rs 850 Crore), Padmaja Gangireddy (Rs 690 Crore), Naveen (Rs 640 Crore), Ramadevi (Rs 640 Crores), Swarnalatha Galiveeti (Rs 580 Crore), Shalini Bhopal (Rs 490 Crore), Umadevi (Rs 420 Crore), Nara Bhuvaneswari (Rs 400 Crore), Anjanadevi (Rs 300 Crore). While former AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneswari is in the 12th position, Shobhana Kamineni, head of Apollo, has been ranked third in the list of wealthy women from Telugu states.
