This is indeed challenging for the Telangana Police as hundreds of missing cases have been filed in various police stations across the state in a four-day span. Around 203 people have gone missing leaving police clueless regarding the developments. In a single day, 11 people went missing from Cyberabad PS limits, 13 from Hyderabad PS limits and 8 from Rachakonda PS limits. Overall, 65 cases were filed in Telangana on Wednesday alone.
Police totally clueless
Police personnel are not able to understand as to how hundreds of people could go missing within a few days. The number of missing cases being filed has turned into a headache for the personnel. With 203 cases filed, it has become a real challenge for them to investigate. On October 26th 65 cases, Oct 27th 62 cases, Oct 28th 65 cases and on Oct 29th 11 cases have been filed as mentioned in the Telangana Police website. Top police officials monitoring the situation are questioning how these many people could go missing. According to police insiders believe that they could’ve left their homes without intimating their families. However, a special focus is being laid on the case.
3418 missing cases pending since 2019
This year till 26th October, a total of 1282 missing cases have been filed in the state. On the other hand, there are still 3418 missing cases pending since 2019, with only 85% of cases being solved every year. The missing cases include women, minors and men from various communities and the pending cases are transferred to the CID department.
Though kidnapping teams are being attributed to the developments, several other reasons like minor disputes, love affairs, extramarital affairs, conflicts between husband and wife are also being suspected behind these people leaving their homes uninformed. In the past, several people who had gone missing had returned to their homes. In this context, the recent murder and kidnap cases of minors in Shamirpet and Mahabubabad had turned sensational.
