The TDP has launched ‘Dharma Parirakshana Diksha’ a massive protest over the vandalization of Hindu temples in the state. Several party workers and leaders are taking part in huge numbers in the protest which is being held across the district. The protesters demand that the miscreants are nabbed on an immediate basis and the responsibility of providing security to temples rests with the state government. In a protest held at the TDP district office in Srikakulam, former MLA Gunda Laxmi Devi and other TDP leaders attended the event.
Can’t intimidate with illegal arrests: MP
Srikakulam MP Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu lashed out at the state government saying that TDP leaders and workers cannot be intimidated with illegal arrests. The MP also met those who were arrested in the case pertaining to the removal of Nandi idol, in Santabommali town of Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh, after they were released on bail. Later, MP Ram Mohan Naidu also met Kotabommali mandal TDP President Boina Ramesh at the latter’s residence. He even met the leaders of Santabommali. The Srikakulam MP was accompanied by TDP State Secretary Boina Govindrajulu, Kinjarapu Suresh and others.
