JanaSena’s political strategy with the BJP for the by-election to the Tirupati (SC) Lok Sabha constituency is to fight it out either now or never. According to political analysts, the chances of a JanaSena candidate emerging the winner is higher than that of a BJP candidate. On the contrary, the BJP which considers JanaSena as its junior partner wants to utilise the opportunity to strengthen the saffron party in Andhra by contesting itself from the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat. On the other hand, there has been no clarity regarding the talks held between the top leadership of the JanaSena and BJP High Command. Neither the BJP favours to give away nor Jana Sena’s Pawan Kalyan is reluctant to give away. In this manner, the BJP looks to play the delaying tactic to slowly persuade Pawan.
Pawan advised not to give up Tirupati Lok Sabha seat
On the other hand, Pawan’s well-wishers have advised him against giving away the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat. It is known that Chiranjeevi who contested as an MLA had won from Tirupati because of his fans and even Pawan Kalyan enjoys a strong following. This is the reason why Pawan is being pressured to contest from this constituency. Had there been proper planning, the Telugu Desam Party could’ve extended their support to the JanaSena. However, even now it isn’t late as the TDP can provide indirect support to JanaSena in contesting from Tirupati, as the main strategy of both parties is to defeat the YSRCP. On the other hand, it is clear that the BJP will not receive such support from the TDP.
