Due to the pandemic, the Telugu film industry took a decision that they will take a pay cut in their upcoming films. This was also approved by the Producer’s Guild who also implemented this order.
But the fact of the matter is that none of the big stars and heroines have taken any pay cuts. The talk is that all the lead actresses of Tollywood have hiked the remuneration and some of the filmmakers even locked them for their upcoming projects.
One of the industry sources says that all this is happening because of the dearth of heroines in the industry. If there are more number of heroines then this pay cut could have been implemented since supply would have met demand. But as there is a big scarcity, nothing of this is being implemented says the sources.
