We haven’t seen any instances of unsuccessful heroines from the south reaching the top position in Bollywood. It is very hard for actresses to survive in the fierce competition of Bollywood. At last, there is an exceptional case and she is none other than ‘Pink’ actress Taapsee Pannu.
Taapsee made her debut with K Raghavendra Rao’s ‘Jhummandi Naadam’. She attracted industry with her glamour and went on to star in many Tollywood and Kollywood films, but her films started becoming flops, after which, she began playing second heroine characters too. Luck knocked Taapsee’s door at the right time after she began choosing the right characters in Bollywood. Her films became huge hits and she became the primary choice for lady-oriented films in no-time because of her acting skills and natural talent.
Big production houses starred her in their films, thanks to her good relations with Bollywood bigwigs. Even though none of her films got released due to the pandemic this year, 2021 will see a flood of Taapsee’s flicks. There are as many as six films which are currently under production and another six in talks. Nobody expected that a flop heroine from south will rule Bollywood even in their wildest of dreams.
