The TRS government not only supported the Bharat Bandh but also took part directly in it and took to the streets in support of the farmers against the Central government. However, these protests led to tensions in different areas. A video of some TRS activists vandalizing a small shop has going viral on social media.
Responding to this, BJP MP D Arvind accused the TRS government of resorting to goondaism. He took to social media and alleged that the TRS leaders were vandalizing the shops of small traders for not following the bandh. As per reports, the incident took place in Yadagirigutta where some people were attacking the shop. The video showed some protestors arguing with the shop owner to close the shop. However, the police intercepted and sent them away.
MLA’s annoyance
TRS MLA Arekapudi Gandhi who took part in the protests at the Bhagyanagar bus stop near the South India Shopping Mall in Kukatpally was seen pushing a man who questioned him. It is learnt that the person who expressed his unhappiness over the rasta roko was pushed by the TRS MLA and some activists. Some of the people even questioned the MLA as to why they were doing the dharna. Are the hardships of farmers visible only now? They even questioned the MLA for setting up barricades and causing trouble for people. The videos related to this incident are going viral on social media.
