Trump plays the blame game

The whole world is eager to know about the American poll results as the President Of The United States plays the role of a Big Brother in the world’s economy.

Donald Trump who came into power in the last elections using his nationalism trump card is now on the losing end. Joe Biden has won 264 electoral votes and is inching towards the magic figure of 270, while Trump stopped abruptly at 214.

So, as mail-in ballots play the deciding role now, Trump has resorted to his loudmouthed theatrics with his supporters trying to spread misinformation about legally cast absentee and mail-in votes in the battleground states. He even went on to claim without proofs that the Democrats are trying to steal the election from him. He also announced that his campaign will file lawsuits in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia and demanded a recount in Wisconsin.

Apart from all these stunts, Trump openly declared about the highhandedness of the election workers favouring Joe Biden, adding that the American Democracy is at stake. He stressed that he is not going to accept the results and refuses to leave the Whitehouse in the case of an impending defeat.

Legal intervention

In a last resort to protect his chair, Trump is playing the legal game as politicians do in our country to safeguard their seats. He is manipulating the judiciary as three of the Supreme Court judges were appointed by him. In the American judicial system, there is no such thing called retirement to the judges of the apex court. A judge has to resign or die to appoint a new one in his place.

As of now, the American Supreme Court has four judges appointed by Democrats and five judges appointed by the Republicans. So, Trump’s party has a clear majority with one judge playing the ‘Trump’ card for the incumbent President. We have to wait and see how this political battle turned legal war fares for Trump.
