TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy has tested positive for Coronavirus and news is that he’s being treated at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. Recently, the 60-year-old had held a review meeting with officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. This has raised concerns among other officials as to whether they may have been infected or not.
Recently, the YSRCP leader who took part in his mother’s birthday celebrations on October 12th, is now concerned about the latter’s health and about others who met him during the celebrations.
Celebrities falling prey to Corona
Though, the number of Covid cases in Andhra Pradesh has declined, many top celebrities are being diagnosed with the deadly virus. Several others who had taken part in the Garuda Seva organised by the TTD during the Brahmotsavam have tested positive. AP Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas also tested positive for Covid on September 28th. Though the minister tested negative initially, he tested positive the second time. With his health worsening, he was flown in a special chopper to Hyderabad.
It is known that the BJP AP President Somu Veerraju too had tested positive for Covid and has now been discharged from the hospital.
Brahmotsavam without TTD Chairman
This year two Brahmotsavams are being observed in Tirumala Tirupati. The Salakatla Brahmotsavam was held in September while the second Brahmotsavam will begin soon. With the TTD Chairman down with Covid, the Brahmotsavam will be held in his absence.
