‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi is getting ready to play the role of Muttiah Muralitharan in the legendary spinner’s biopic to be directed by MS Sripathy. Muralitharan is known for his extraordinary achievement of bagging 800 wickets in Test Cricket. The makers have decided to name it ‘800’ as a tribute to him and will launch the first look poster on 13th of October.
Muttiah Muralitharan has seen many highs and lows during his long career as one of the world’s leading bowlers. He was embroiled in several controversies including being suspended for ‘chucking’ by the ICC. Muralitharan excelled even more after his suspension was lifted and it only proved that he was deliberately banned by a section that envied his achievements on the field. All these aspects will be showcased in this film featuring Vijay Sethupathi who working hard to pour life into the character of the Sri Lankan spinner. Mallu beauty Rajisha Vijayan is playing the female lead in this much awaited biopic.
